JANICA OLPINDO

Janica Olpindo is a queer Filipina artist and researcher based in the City of Mississauga, the lands of which are a part of the Treaty and Traditional Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, The Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Huron-Wendat and Wyandot Nations. She holds a BFA in Integrated Media from OCAD University and an MA in Digital Media from York University. She is currently continuing her studies as a PhD Student in Digital Media at York University. Olpindo's research stems from her interest in breaking (or most commonly known as "breakdancing"), movement/sound relationships, and human-computer interaction. 

Olpindo is a member of the DisPerSion Lab at York University.
